PREMERING at the New Orleans Fringe Festival November 20-24th

Our team's latest exploration of Henry James' masterpiece The Portrait of a Lady...

Exquisite Mistake

Exquisite Mistake is an interactive spectacle hinging on the impossible choices facing the novel's main character, Isabel Archer. As a newly orphaned ex-pat in Europe, Isabel is everyone's perfect version of a friend, a lover, a confidant, an accessory, a victim. In this immersive performance YOU are cast as the lovely and vulnerable Isabel, and must decide what character in this kaleidoscopic and limoncello-soaked world is really your friend or foe. Who can you trust? The worldly, ingenious and manipulative Madame Merle? The impeccably charming international playboy Gilbert Osmond? The infirm and caustic cousin full of wit and insight, Ralph Touchett? The old friend from home Henrietta Stackpole? Or the young and innocent Pansy Osmond, trapped by tradition and secrets?

Exquisite Mistake is a carnival of poor life choices wrapped in the luxury of upper-class indolence, desperation, and desire where love is the deadliest affliction and money the most effective weapon.
